About YWAM France.

29 Decenber 2010
We are currently working with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in
St Paul Trois Chateaux (France) staffing the current Discipleship Training School (DTS).
To be able to carry out our ministry we have a team of partners who support us in a variety of ways;
in prayer, practically and financially.

Joyeux Noël 2010
DTS staff and studentsWe would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the love that you have demonstrated to us over the last 12 months, whether it has been through your prayers, encouragements or you financial gifts and support. Each one of these are precious to us and enable us to continue to serve God here in France. We pray that the Lord will bless you this Christmas time as we celebrate the reality that is Emmanuel - God with us. This last year has really proved to us that this is true.

The lecture phase of the Discipleship Training School has now come to an end, and we are enjoying a short break for two weeks over Christmas before the Outreach phase starts on the January 1 and I (Mark) jet off to Cameroon for ten weeks. During the lecture phase the students have had teaching on; the cross & repentance, worship, the father heart of God, Holy spirit, calling & leadership, finances, spiritual warfare, mission, evangelism, the Bible, world views and cross-cultural training. We have seen real growth and transformation in most of the students. Some came admitting that they didn't have a relationship with God and not knowing their Bibles at all, and we now go in to the outreach with many of them taking up the challenge to read the entire Bible during the ten weeks! We are already making preparations for the next DTS contacting potential speakers, staff, students and translators and Ruth will continue to make preparations and learn more of the administration side of things whilst I am on outreach.

Elijah and Noah 27 Dec 2010 - The boys continue to do well at the local school we have just had their end of year reports and they both had really good grades. There were one or two areas where they 'could do better' but I seem to remember my school reports saying exactly the same as I am sure many of yours did too. This term they have both been having swimming lessons with the school and have both progressed in to the top group for their ages. A big improvement from last year for Noah, who had to be fished out of the water by a big stick with a hook on the end 'because I forgot how to swim'. We continue to be amazed at how well settled they are here and how they have picked up the language.
